Great Definitions of Leadership

There are many diverse definitions of leadership.

“Leadership is inspiration and if you are not inspiring you are not a leader.” Lalit Bhojwani. Because one of the best definition I have found in history is related with inspiration. According to Napoleon Bonaparte- “A leader is a dealer in hope." A true leader always inspires, a true leader always motivates and a true leader always gives hopes. That`s why a leader is certainly a dealer in hope.
John Quincy Adams has also given the utmost importance to inspiration and he defined-
“If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader.” John Quincy Adams

Another one great definition is given by John Maxwell, “Leadership is influence- nothing more, nothing less.” Definitely if you are not inspiring you are not influential and without inspiration no leader can influence truly.
Warren Bennis has defined leadership in these words, “Leadership is a function of knowing yourself, having a vision that is well communicated, building trust among colleagues, and taking effective action to realize your own leadership potential.”
Definitely if you do not know yourself how can you inspire others and how can you build trust among colleagues?

When you are talking about leadership how can you forget Peter Drucker. Very inspiring definition was given by Peter Drucker.
"Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things.
Peter Drucker
Last but not least "Innovation distinguishes between a leader and a follower." Steve Jobs. When leaders inspires others they create a great culture of innovations and inspiration motivates your employees to take risk and innovate. hostgator coupons
